After going yard, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays mocked new Minnesota Twins star Carlos Correa’s home run celebration.

En route to beating the Minnesota Twins on Thursday night, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays mocked Carlos Correa’s home run celebration after his latest big fly.

Baltimore defeated Minnesota 5-3 on Cinco de Mayo. This win allowed the O’s to split their four-game home series with the Twins. Though Baltimore is only 10-16 on the year, the Orioles are not the worst team in baseball. Who knows how long the above-average play compared to their standards can be sustained, but this team is showing it can play quality baseball every so often.

Here is Hays mocking Correa after connecting on what was the game-deciding home run.

While Baltimore pulling out back-to-back wins over a team that is probably better than them is cool and all, keep in mind that Correa was pulled from the game in favor of Nick Gordon a full inning prior. This troll job by Mays would have landed a bit differently had Correa still been in the game. Even if he plays hoops in Portland, it is always Dame Time whenever you tap your wrist.

Prior to dropping the last two in the Charm City, Minnesota had been playing great baseball. The Twins are still winners of seven of their last 10, even after dropping a pair consecutively to the Orioles. As for Baltimore, they just beat the AL Central standings leader in back-to-back games to now be tied for last in the AL East race with the Boston Red Sox, who have struggled a bit of late.

Ultimately, it may be another year or so before Baltimore does much of anything in arguably the toughest division in baseball. However, we have to appreciate these moments where the Orioles do not show any quit in them. By beating a team that is certainly postseason-viable, it can serve as the necessary momentum to hang tough with ball clubs who think they are better than them.

Congratulations on the series stalemate, and may you troll a guy who is still in the game next time.
